レゲエはご存知ジャマイカの音楽ですが、ジャマイカのイメージが暑い夏なので、夏と言ったらレゲエと言う感じの人も多いでしょう。
とは言っても一時期のレゲエブームも昔の話で、今はちょっと違う形になっていますね。
以前どこかにレゲエの名曲を紹介する趣旨のページがあり、久しぶりに聴きたくなって見たのですが…
私ことオジサンは確かにちょっと古いのですが、流石にボブ・マーリィーやジミー・クリフ、更に世界的にレゲエブームがあった時の曲が入っていないのはどうなのかな？
オジサンとしては、むしろルーツやダンスホールが好きなのですが・・・名曲ではないのか？あんなに日本でも流れていたのに・・・若い人は知らない？
当然そこにも同様の事がコメントされ、やりなおし！とまで書かれている始末でしたが…
お尻をフリフリのレゲエダンスとか、タオル振り回したり、ちょっとよく分からない…
まぁ、ジャマイカのミュージシャンですらボブ・マーリーはもういない、もう死んだとか言う曲作ってますし、言ってますからね。新しいレゲエの形を模索したいのでしょう。ただし批判も飛んでも無い事に…
そういえば、ロックンロールisデッドとか言う曲もありましたね…えーと、レニー・クラヴィッツでしたっけ？

レゲエは元々スカな感じで、ロックステディのジャナナジャナナジャナを経て裏打ちになったとボブがビデオで言っていましたね。
彼はナチュラルミスティックで、自然大気の中から歌詞や曲が降ってくると言っており、周囲も笑いながらであるが、それを信じている。当然私も信じてる…日本にも来てライブしたのですよ。
レゲエはルーツとダンスホールを中心に爆発的に広まり、様々なジャンルを飛び越えてヒットし、カバーも多くなる。
イギリスではUKレゲエなるものが登場し、ラガマフィンが主流となるが廃れていき、原点回帰となる。
フージーズのボーカル、ローリン・ヒルはボブ・マーリーの息子であるローハン・マーレーと結婚。
先日は脱税で逮捕されましたね。
日本でも幾つかレゲエ調の曲が発表されました。
